24th January 2008, Its been a long while since I updated this page :-( so sorry, I'm planning over time to change this page into something else as I've just started a blog! Its seems that allot of bear artist are blogging these days and as I'm really nosey I love em! So I thought it would be fun to start my own, check out www.shantockbears.blogspot.com Random Wafflings of an English Teddy Bear Artist! Here you will find out the latest news and get sneaky peeks of new designs and ideas.

16 August 2007,Welcome to the new and improved website! Some of you may have noticed the website has been having some issues over the last few months! This was due to computers crashing, vista compatibility issues and hosting problems, I won't go on and bore you, lets just say its been a traumatic few months!

Anyway Andy from Barbara-Ann Bears has kindly helped me re-build the site! We both thought that after over two years online it needed an updated look. Andy has been brilliant as usual and worked really hard to draw the new logo and build me template pages while I stayed with them in Hythe! In return I was Barbara's slave for the weekend, trouble is I think we gossiped and ate far to much for it to be a fair exchange, all while poor Andy sat upstairs sweating over a hot computer screen. I'm really pleased with the site and I hope you'll be happy too, I'd love to know what you think.

4th March 2007, I have just returned from dropping off the first 10 bears to Hamleys! I am still so chuffed to have the opportunity for such a prestigious store to show case my bears, if you are in London do take a trip and see them in store, I know I will be frequently!!!

We also had the pleasure of spending a day with Julie at" Bear it in mind" in Beaulieu on Monday, it was a lovely experience to" work" in the shop and get to chat to visitors to the area. Julie has transformed the shop from an old pottery workshop, there are two sections to the building one has a fantastic collection of bears for sale and the other is a children's craft activity studio, the shop is extremely child friendly and a warm welcome awaits you, we are planning to return sometime in the summer to" work" for the day, although if its anything like Monday we wont get too much work done!

Our next show is Waltham Abbey Sunday 15th April, this is a new show for us and hopefully it will be a lovely day, please pop by and say hello if your visiting.

26th February 2007, We had an amazing day at Haggles yesterday, it was lovely to see so many friendly faces, sorry if I did not get to speak to you it was at times very busy! Thanks very much to everyone who adopted a bear or mouse. We also had a visit from Hamleys of London and they have asked me to do them a collection of 10 bears for Easter, I am very proud and honoured to be asked to this by such a fantastic store, its very exciting. Today I have updated the bear gallery with what's available and look forward to our next show which is 12th March 2007 at Rochester. I have also recently completed my first pattern for Teddy Bear Club International magazine, Lollypop will be in the next issue and there will be a competition to win her. If anybody has a go at making their own I'd love to see how you got on so please feel free to end me some pictures.

4th November 2005, We enjoyed the London Teddy Bear Show at Alexandra Palace last Sunday, we had a lovely time meeting collectors and old friends. The venue is stunning and I thought it was a well run fair. Dove did not win the TBS readers choice award but we all  felt that Jack was a very well deserved winner, as where all the other entries. I have added 9 new bears today hope you like them!

10th October 2005, It was lovely to meet both old and new friends in Rochester on Sunday. Rochester is a lovely town and we enjoyed the show. Many of my bears went to new homes and are now hopefully settling in well. We also sold lots of knitting so we both will be working hard over the next few weeks. We are looking forward to Alexandra Palace on 30th October.
